During 2008, one manufacturer is set on shaping the universe of camera-enabled mobile phones. That manufacturer is Sony Ericsson, and they are determined to not only corner the universe in top-end camera phones, but low-end handsets, too! Camera phones evolve - the world created by Sony Ericsson It's rather apt, really, that Sony Ericsson should be the ones leading the way in the revolution amongst camera-equipped mobile phones. I mean, it was they who started it all, way back in 2002. Let's remember, they were the first manufacturer to release a mobile phone that'd got a camera built in, within the UK. That handset was the Sony Ericsson P800, but it didn't get the mass market penetration Sony Ericsson wanted, since it was a really high-end smartphone. However, their most iconic handset in history was soon to be unveiled, and that one WOULD get great market penetration. That was the Sony Ericsson T610, and it entirely altered the mobile landscape. Here was a phone that stood head and shoulders over the rival mobile phones around it. It was compact, it was slim, and the country ADORED it. And, let us remember that the Sony Ericsson T610 also had a built-in camera, and that it was really the first phone to go to the wider audience, and make people say, 'Wait a sec, we really do want our mobile phones to have cameras in 'em!' Nowadays, the market has diverged, into entry-level handsets, and high-end camera-equipped mobile phones; and Sony Ericsson want to be the lings of both! Sony Ericsson S302 - the entry level happy snapper Say you want a Sony Ericsson camera phone, but not a mega-massive smartphone. If so, then the Sony Ericsson S302, the first phone to come from their brand new Snapshot series, is the perfect handset for you. It's a cute little phone, with a small, sleek body, a gorgeous screen, and a funky little multimedia browser. As well as that, in spite of this being firmly in the 'budget phone' category, the Sony Ericsson S302 has got a superb little 2 megapixel camera. Ok, it doesn't come with autofocus, but since it's a budget snapper, it's brilliant! But the S302 is an entry-level mobile phone... what if you need a phone with some real clout? how about if you desire one of Sony Ericsson's Cyber-Shot series...? Sony Ericsson C905 - the ultimate camera phone? You just can't deny power, and something is for definite: the Sony Ericsson C905's got vastly more raw power than any other mobile phones you'll come across in the UK. How come? Well, this is the first camera phone to be announced in the UK that has an 8 megapixel camera. Yup. 8. That's a disturbingly big pixel resolution, and it means that the Sony Ericsson C905 gives you the power to take the absolute sharpest photos you've ever witnessed, from any camera-equipped mobile phone, in the world. Oh, and of course, let's not forget that Sony Ericsson have infused it with Cyber-Shot technology, and that will make the pictures it produces even more beautiful. Combine that with a brilliant multimedia browser, WiFi, HSDPA and built-in GPS, and you have to come to the conclusion that the Sony Ericsson C905 is, without doubt, the king of the hill!
